About National Tree Day

National Tree Day

National Tree Day
National Tree Day is regarded to be Australia's most successful tree planting event. National Tree Day is an inspirational event that has been a major annual project for Toyota since 1999 and it's just one of the many environmental initiatives Toyota has undertaken to preserve and improve the environment.

Together with Toyota Dealers, people from all walks of life in communities across the country come together to plant trees to repair, revegetate and restore Australia's landscape.

This year sees a number of Toyota's key ambassadors coming together and supporting National Tree Day within their local communities and schools.

Toyota and its Ambassadors encourage you to get involved this year and help Toyota help the environment by planting a tree.

National Tree Day on Sunday 27th July 2008.

Schools Tree Day

Schools Tree Day
Each year, on the Friday before National Tree Day, the schools of Australia lead the way on Schools Tree Day.

This year the event will be held on Friday 25th July. To get involved in 2008, teachers, parents or students can call the NTD Hotline on 1300 88 5000.

Who is Planet Ark?

Planet Ark

Planet Ark is a wholly Australian organisation that works to help people reduce the day to day impact on the environment – at home, at work and within the community.

Planet Ark was established in 1991 as a not-for-profit foundation by former Wimbledon champ Pat Cash and international charity campaigner Jon Dee. Planet Ark’s strength lies in the communities, councils, media outlets, companies and individuals who support the push to bring about real and positive environmental change.
